Honasa Consumer Limited, the parent company of Mamaearth, on Friday appointed Vipul Maheshwari as its Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO), effective October 23, 2026.

Maheshwari, who previously served as Executive Vice President, Product and Data, will now oversee the company’s product, technology, engineering and analytics functions. His mandate centres on accelerating Honasa’s artificial intelligence transformation and building what the company describes as an “agentic AI vision”, systems capable of executing multi-step workflows with human oversight.

The appointment comes as Honasa signals a sharper technology-led strategic direction. The company said it is developing AI-powered tools and intelligent workflows aimed at simplifying processes, automating tasks, and enabling faster decision-making across its portfolio of seven beauty and personal care brands.

Maheshwari, an IIT Delhi alumnus with a master’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, has been with Honasa for six years. Before joining the company, he held positions at Delhivery and Global Analytics India Pvt. Ltd.

Co-founder and CEO Varun Alagh said the elevation reflects the company’s intent to build leadership internally and invest in capabilities for its next growth phase.

Honasa Consumer Limited shares fell 3.45 per cent to ₹427.15 on the NSE by 1:30 PM, against a previous close of ₹442.40, with sell orders outpacing buy orders. The stock’s market capitalisation stood at approximately ₹13,926 crore. Despite the day’s decline, the scrip has returned over 55 per cent in the past year, significantly outperforming the Nifty 500’s negative returns over the same period.
